Police showed up to her abandoned car within about 4 minutes of the 911 call. And she was gone. And clearly disappeared through that narrow segment of woods.
Someone has to have been waiting on her. The cellphone pings and ring doorcams will hopefully prove this.
So yet again… she is lying. She’s a fricking LIAR

It doesnt matter at this point, LE is to incompetent to put together her last 49 hours per the Chief.
I suspect they have some general idea, but want to speak with her first to flesh out the facts. They likely have enough information to cross-examine/squeeze her if she tries to lie to them again (which I'm sure they expect she will). At that point she will either tell the entire truth, or face potential greater charges. She doesn't have much leverage in these discussions. Her attorney's statement is just a general admission this whole thing was BS...which many knew within a day or so of the "abduction"...in hopes this will satisfy law enforcement and they will stop investigating. But, as others have said here, black people in the area never bought her bullshite either. So they are not particularly eager to rush to her defense if law enforcement keeps drilling down.
Many law enforcement agencies wasted time and resources investigating this stunt. I doubt they are content with just a half-hearted "I'm sorry. My bad" issued through her lawyer.

So, she left her Mercedes and wandered around alone in this heat for 48 hours.
Right.
Right.

Wasn’t her SIL pinged 400 yds away around the time she was “abducted”?

The only thing on her side is the Jefferson County DA. Maybe their goal is to drag this out knowing the DA doesn’t have the appetite to prosecute and the Hoover PD will get tired of wasting resources on this. Just guessing at that.
The thing is it’s not like the Bham Black community is on her side. They’re pretty angry about this.

I get they want to play slow play their hand but this filth should've been in an interrogation room by this point fielding hard questions face to face, like normal criminals.
I wonder if Crime Stoppers is refunding all the monies now.

I still don't know what felony she has committed to warrant needing the DA to bring charges.
Seems more like Hoover passing it over to the county so they don't take heat for bringing charges.

The the stench of bug spray would have overwhelmed her parents when she walked home. There's no other way she was outside for 49 hours without mosquitoes and fire ants having a feast.

This adult child has totally ruined her life and she has no one to blame but herself.
Flunked out of nursing school, got fired from her spa job for stealing and had the audacity to come up with this 4 YO kid's story of a bald red head guy kidnapping her and hauling her fat arse around in a semi trailer in the woods while feeding her Cheez-its and painting her nails.
She'll be lucky if she can get a job cleaning toilets in motels now.
I have never been a SM person but is it normal for them to take thousands of pics of themselves no matter what they are doing? Symptom of NPD?

I had read somewhere that supposedly, in that subdivision on there other side of woods, was an empty/abandoned/for sale house. The rumor is she knew the people who owned it and knew she could hold up there. It would explain bringing the toilet paper too.

Yes I remember reading it, but didn’t want to include in my post in case it’s not accurate.
I’m doing some quick online searches and it’s seems fake 911 calls can range depending on the state from misdemeanor to potential felony especially if the caller knows the crime is fake. She admitted that today through her lawyer. So they’ve got her there.
And it seems a big component to this is how much time and resources and expenses were used by local or state or beyond law enforcement to track and investigate these fake crimes. That’s probably what they’ll end up getting her on. Felony fake 911 call. Little to no jail time. And responsible for some of the expenses.
Crossing my fingers, it goes beyond that. I hope they make a real example out of her. And she’s still clearly lying through her lawyer, and I think (hope) they know this and where she was and likely who she was with during a substantial portion of this 49 hours.

He’s a good criminal defense lawyer. Has credibility with the DA’s office.

"Carlee Russell admits there was no abduction or baby on I-459; apologizes to Hoover police" LINK
A plea deal is probably in the works, which I think will be smart and the best course for her and her family to take.
ETA: late sorry

Empty house? I really doubt she would be sleeping on a floor in an empty house like going camping and roughing it.
Roughing it for her would probably be a hotel w/o room service.

Her attorney, Emory Anthony, sent this statement to Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis Monday morning:
“Dear Chief Derzis, my client has given me permission to make the following statement on her behalf: There was no kidnapping on July 13, 2023. My client did not see a baby on the side of the road. My client did not leave the Hoover area when she was identified as a missing person. My client did not have any help in this incident, but this was a single act done by herself,’' Anthony wrote.
“My client was not with anyone or at any hotel during the time she was missing,’' Anthony said.
“My client apologizes for her actions to the community, the volunteers who were searching for her, to the Hoover Police Department and other agencies, as well as to her friends and family,’' the attorney said in the statement.
“We ask for your prayers for Carlee as she addresses her issues and intends to move understanding that she made a mistake,’' Anthony said. “Carlee again asks for your forgiveness and prayers.”
The mom kind of burned the prayer bridge down last week.
If she was by herself and acted alone without any help the entire time it seems like she would include places where she was for 2 days/nights.
“My client did not have any help in this incident, but this was a single act done by herself”
In sentence above the usage of “but” and what follows about a single act both seem awkward.

From what I've read, the only charges currently would be misdemeanor charges which the DA can bring. I'm not sure I understand what you are saying here.
