Catty women being catty. They didn't hire her because she'd attract ALL the attention. There's no way your answers can be too "basic" in an interview for a part time waitress job. You're not splitting atoms or arbitrating the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, you're serving food and drinks.

Looks good, but I suspect her interview showed that she was shallow and dumb. Good move by person that now does not have to waste time training her.

Actually the text said her answers we are like basic. They were essentially calling her stupid in their own stupid way. With these two people talking I imagine that interview was a complete shite show.
