I have no idea what happens at LSU, but there is a reason that as recently as 2024 white kids and black kids with similar scores were told to apply to markedly different schools by the same counselors.
Grad schools were/are the same and it’s never been much of a secret.

Grade inflation at predominantly black public high schools is part of lower expectations. If LSU reports on its scholarship and other direct aid from university including waiving of out of state tuition I would like to see the % that are blacks are receiving. I would bet black students are being recruited and rewarded at a higher per capita rate than whites.

Were they required? If not required why would poor scores be reported. That’s almost cherry picking. They used to required.
I am sure there are other favorable considerations or accommodations that didn’t factor into previous scores as well.
You would have to be regarded not to know that.

A little twerking spices up life. Cool.
A lot of a lot of the things I saw, butt cracks the reputation for not only future graduates but also those who came before.
Bet the Notre Dame elitist snobs laugh their lily white and tight azzes off everytime they see LSU twerking videos and think of Coach Kelly.

You willing to put money on that? I would venture to say that the majority were probably test optional applicants.
Lsu does not release the percentage of incoming freshmen that turned in ACT scores versus ones that did not. However, they will brag that their incoming freshman ACT score composite breaks a record every year. It's very dishonest.
It's no coincidence that LSU's black student population has increased at the same time that LSU went test optional.
I don't really think it's only an issue where LSU wants more minority students. I think LSU also wants as much tuition dollars as it can get. Going test optional and having holistic applications lets them kill two birds with one stone.

This. LSU is racking up on that money for their first semester, then they get academic probation and give up. I guarantee the demographics of the freshman class are vastly different than the senior class.
LSU has become a major business. Education is secondary to money and the football business.
