There are already videos making the rounds of certain people in Paris, shall we say, happy about this.

This is truly awful. I visited there this past summer and was in complete awe of the beauty and serene nature of the structure and site. One of the world’s great wonders, truly.

I hope that if it’s indeed terrorism those sons of bitches are hanged on YouTube and Facebook Live for the whole world to see.

French politician Philippe Karsenty just told Fox News this is the French 9/11 even though no one died.

muslim terror confirmed?

No. The guy was basically saying the loss of a beautiful old building is France’s version of losing 5,000 souls in an attack.

Then he speculated it was Muslim, but had no evidence of that.

I believe the Rose Window is 36 ft across or more, all stained glass!!!

The French removed and protected the Rose Window when the Nazis occupied France.

Looks like it has been completely lost in the fire.

This is more my thinking.

Trying to drop that on an area not much bigger than a football field is going to be tough.

Exactly, think of all that can go wrong with dropping several tons of water in the middle of a closely built city with first responders all around it

Yeah that’s the real issue. They can rebuild wood. They can’t repaint 800 year old art work done by masters.

no confirmation of terrorism at this point makes that a wildly inaccurate statement.

I mean, do you know what information a French political official may have access to at this point?

It’s not just a building. It’s a work of art that has stood through nearly a thousand years, many wars, etc

That being said, I wouldn’t compare it to 3k people being murdered

Helicopters would be the only realistic way, but then do you really want them fanning the flames at the same time?

The amount of scaffolding there is mind blowing.

It really is impressive. Couldn't see much of it at all when it started either.

They need those boat fire hoses.

Those things shoot an insane amount of water a crazy distance.
