How the hell are the flames still that large?
Just the wood? Materials from the remodel? Chemicals?
There are thousands of beams in the frame of the roof and other parts that were made of entire trees hundreds of years ago. Heavy timber like that will burn for a long arse time

i haven't followed anything on this: is this terrorist related?
French officials instantly said while it was burning that they thought it was related to renovations.
So it does not appear so.

Not to be a stickler, but it wasn't 5000 people on 9/11. It was just under 3000.
Not that it makes his awful comparison any better.

Yeah whatever, it was a horrific comparison.

I would not be suprised if a radical claimed credit, but we will see after the investigation.

Notre Dame spokesman (as read on ABC): "Everything is burning. Nothing will remain from the frame"

They need those boat fire hoses.
Those things shoot an insane amount of water a crazy distance.
15k-20k gpm.....not sure what a fire truck puts out but I doubt it's that much

Churches have been vandalized everywhere in Paris recently. IF those were acts of terrorism, then it’s logical to think that hitting Notre Dame at the beginning on the Christian Holy Week would be a terrorist’s endgame
It’s too early to discredit anything -fair or foul- at this point, but the fact that this has been happening a lot lately in Paris should send up some red flags

Gotta be terrorism with all the illegals in Paris
They don't know, but what they do know is there was a huge renovation project approved and going on. Lots of flammable materials, workers smoking, welding sparks, etc.
Not to mention the wood in there is old as shite

Maybe, but a fire isn't really their MO, and considering the immense scaffolding and remodel work, Occam's razor would suggest it was an accident.

if this is actually terrorism they might put Macron in the guillotine

I hate how Shepard Smith is trying to whitewash the fact that Notre Dame cathedral is a religious building.

It is very odd how quickly they made that claim. I mean the news just started breaking about the fire and they instantly had the cause out there.

And they said it started around the area where the remodel was going on.

Their government will lie to protect the terrible decisions they've made.

I doubt it. France is truly lost, along with most of western Europe. Eastern Europe is the only part of that continent that may survive as a western democracy.

It's certainly not the first time they've lit Paris on fire

I think after standing for over 800 years, Occam's razor would suggest arson.
