It was just salty in Belle Chasse for a few minutes. On another note, was at Spanishtown earlier, and didn’t get near what was expected.

This is prime time for knocking out some yard work baws.

I’ll be at Ms Maes tomorrow morning around 10 am.

Walked home after the parade just off the start of canal and it opened up hard shortly after. The back end had to have gotten pummeled.
Looking forward to what is a pretty good forecast for Bacchus. Looks like Thoth might get it bad though.

It has been coming down in Metairie on and off for about a couple of hours. The parades must be getting soaked.

It was really humid and hot for iris this morning. Borderline summer time miserable. Was strange for this time of year. Wish I had worn shorts.

I was at Canal and Galvez for Endymion and the skies opened up just as the last float was passing

We were around Julia and St Charles. It opened up bad with lightening and thunder about 2/3 of the way through. They definitely pulled every marching group from that point on. It rained hard for about 10 minutes and then that was it. All in all, turned out to be a pretty good day.

We were at the dome and it was dry the last 3/4 of the parade. We were right by parking garage so we could get out of the heavy stuff.

I don’t think they let all the bands march. We were in the back (32) and our floats were running right behind each other from the start of the parade. We flew through the route. Good ride once again!

I was on 31B, right before we hit Claiborne, by the VA and UMC it opened up... Came down hard with lightening.. Canal street look like an actual canal, but people were still out there having fun. By the time we hit St Charles it stopped... We actually had a pretty decent night except for that one down pour...
Side note, I was in the well and stayed pretty dry except for my arms...

What’s it looking like over there today?
Raining off and on on a he Northshore but still thinking about bringing the fam over.

It's fricking sloppy in Uptown but looks like rain is clearing up for the time being. Eyeing noon or there abouts for one more decent thunderstorm possibility before clearing out by Bacchus.
Want to see some sunshine and wind for the next two hours, because it's just a slop pit out here right now.

Wouldn’t in just make sense to push parades back an hour?

Probably but the parade is going to get wet if my storm developes waiting anyway. You'd have the benefit of possible flash flooding on roads to drop. It should not be too bad though.
I'd say push em back 30 if anything, with the early two more likely to eat the possible worst.

You did good with yesterday's prediction. With the exception of that one down pour, it was not a bad day at all.

I'll call it a solid B to B-.
Which is pretty damn good for me. Late storm kind of fricked a good overall day. Too much down playing convection and lightning on my end when we got a convective thunderstorm to end the night. Lessons to learn baw, every system.
Hope today holds to my general thoughts on it. It's a mess here and any more rain won't help. If we could get some sunlight and some wind blowing in to dry it out a bit, we'd be as good as we can get.

Well frick guess I’m getting wet. Won’t care as long as it dosent ruin the crowds
Posted on 2/11/18 at 9:34 am to LSU5508
I'll take a weak early crowd and a bit of rain.
It's likely going to be clear for Bacchus and the crowds will be out strong by then.

DUKE!!!!! You killed it all week, pretty much dead on. We got a little wet, before parade started, not too bad, little more than a drizzle, but not bad. About 70% into the ride it pissed on us for about an hour, but all in all, was way better than what was predicted by most. Crowds were solid, damn good ride. Thx Duke, job well done sir.
