Finally a common sense approach have been identified to fix this issue and by none other than the City of Los Angeles! I want the power and water shut off in July and August for all rule breakers to show them the Government loves them and is here to protect them from themselves.

The Michigan Governor comes in at a close 2nd Place on the level of the stupidity scale.

Third place goes to the moron Mayor of Grand Isle who banned everyone who wasn't a permanent resident from accessing the Island.

I agree with your take on this! Who are we to believe our lying eyes and ears or your emotional take on this without any proof that this is misinformation?

I'll take my lying eyes and ears for a 1000 Alex!

Where have you been? We moved on past that, now we just need to make sure the hospitals dont get overrun, we should also wait until we have enough ventilators... oh wait.

“Small businesses are going to open up in revolt”

We've quietly reopened our retail business here in Bham.

Our sales our down 80%. The federal gov't is offering to pay our employees $20+ per hour to sit at home and do nothing which is way more than what we pay. We don't qualify for the sales tax forgiveness that the state offered (sales too high). We qualified for $30K worth of SBA loans that don't really help much. Our business insurance says that there is a pandemic clause in our policy that was miraculously added in Jan. We made too much money for the Trump handouts offered to individuals.

The COVID-19 didn't shut anything down. It was the state and federal gov'ts that did that. Remember that come election time.

Get solar panels and dig a well... now we see that they will use our utilities as a weapon against us if we don’t submit. This is a violation of rights.

My brother in law bought a piece of property on grand isle where he can take his camper. They won't let him on the island. That is just stupid. He is retired and lives in a very rural area, less densely populated than Grand Isle. Seems kind of dumb.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be fought, but the overwhelming majority of local/state governments are completely ignoring "technical" violations of the laws/orders.

I had a few friends over for drinks this weekend to play cards and my town has a 10pm curfew. Got bored and made a loop on backroads drinking after midnight, passed the cop on the way out and waved. They don’t care here

Why is that your response to every thread where the word POLICE appears? This thread is much more about big government and politicians than police officers. Do you think police are the ones deciding stay at home and quarantine laws? Or is it possible that the politicians and government workers are making those decisions?

Because they took an oath to uphold the Constitution.

That would require them to be able to read above a third grade level. Which the vast majority are incapable of.
