people crave the poboys, RBNRice, Gumbo and so on. It is mom and pop comfort food you can get at a non five star restaurant that tastes just as good.

NOLA is prob better from a top end perspective but as far as food options go, it's hard to beat Houston overall

Have you been to the Asiantown area of Houston??? Nothing can be found like that outside of a handful of major cities. The Chinese buffet in NOLA isn’t comparable.
What he is saying, is that more Vietnamese moved to south Louisiana after the fall of Saigon, than anywhere else in tUSA. Vietnamese is an easy find throughout south Louisiana.

I'm sure New Orleans has wonderful food. My wife speaks highly of a few restaurants there.
But I will never go. So give me a Braum's double cheeseburger and a shake and this old boy is happy.
But for my two cents, it's Florence, Italy.
The West was won on beef--not crawdads and soupy rice.

You can't get good Ramen, Udon or Deli food in new orleans
Yes. Yes you can.
Ramen & Udon kinda hard, but it is there.
Deli....really, you serious Clark. NOLA has its own original deli sandwich that delis all across tUSA now try to copy. They never get the olive relish right though.

Do you not realize that Nola was the first place many Vietnamese settled to when they left their country? They have great restaurants all over the place here

Acadiana has better food at our gas stations than most cities have at their best restaurants
Somewhat true. My years living in Utah made me miss those simple pleasures.

No good BBQ and no good Japanese. Real Japanese, not Japanese owned by Viennese.

London has the worst food of any major city I have ever visited. Its Des Moines with grey beef.

These are a few, away from NOLA.

lol, who knew that adding unlimited amounts of fats and sugar to foods makes them taste good?

In a board of actual retards, you're really trying to be the king.

I could go to New Orleans for a month and eat 3 meals a day at a different place every time, and still wouldn't come close to all the places I want to try.

The one thing we do have in spades down in NOLA as well as the rest of south Louisiana, that cannot be found anywhere else, even Houston (which has very good Creole and Cajun places) is the fusion.
Everyone here talking about different ethnic cuisine. Korean, Mexican, Vietnamese, etc. We do have that, but what the local ethnic individuals learned, was that influences from existing food in the area mafe what they brought even better. Cajun/Mexican fusion is awesome. Even better than Tex-Mex in many cases (and I LOVE Tex-Mex). I used to eat at this Vietnamese place on Kaliste Saloom before I moved away. Dude who owned it took his old Vietnamese family recipes and added Cajun flare. That place was awesome.
We have Greek/Cajun, Italian/Cajun, pretty much fusions of everything you can find. No other place has that and that makes eating there awesome.
I need to make a trip back home and get me some food soon. Mandeville has the best eggs benedict I ever had. Hell, even get me some boudin eggs rolls. Maybe some Cajun food with Croatian flare (yes, we have that too).

Nah. People who eat at Red Lobster and Olive Garden in their small bland towns and then come to Nola and only eat at French Quarter fried seafood shitholes are the ones in this thread who are bad.

Do they include the rat experience when making that call?

Dude, have you ever been to London?
That are lots of things to love about London, but food is NOT one of them. In fact, it is among the worst parts about London in my experience.
I direct fly Nola to London on regular basis. Best food during trip is usually in MSY lounge and food on plane.
