The New Orleans District Attorney's office and personal injury attorney Morris Bart's office will be working together moving forward.

Bart's office will assist the understaffed District Attorney with screening the high case load at the DA's office.

The District Attorney's office confirmed the partnership.

“Our office has been working to identify new resources and partnerships to ensure we are meeting the demands of a busy docket including partnering with Morris Bart. We look forward to sharing more information about this soon," said Curtis Elmore, spokesperson for the District Attorney's office.

One call, that’s all! I’ll bet that the Morris Bart firm has few, if any, lawyers with meaningful criminal law experience.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but Jason Williams is a bigger problem for the city than Latoya Cantrell. You can have a crass, vulgar, vindictive, ineffective, and disengaged mayor and survive. Sure the street lights won’t work and garbage service sucks but you’ll survive.

When the DA’s office falls into complete disarray and ceases to function that’s a death spiral that’s tough to pull out of.

Was he? He's currently eligible to practice, and I can't find anything saying he was disbarred in the past, though I haven't exactly looked very hard.

Now he was definitely either disbarred or suspended for a very long time. I can't remember which. But yeah, he only just got back in the game a few years ago

That is one freaky looking dude.

I remember an article in The Advocate many years back when MB was really the top ambulance chaser around and seems I remember them referring to him as a "ladies man", or at least he thought he was.

That’s like saying vomit is a bigger problem than explosive diarrhea while you’re having both at the same time.

Wasn’t he stealing money from his clients, which caused the suspension?
