How can you even begin to trash mandina's. That shite sells itself on its story and name alone. Sorry I missed out on the culinary tour of New Orleans and didn't eat at the Commie Bistro.

Edit: Lester Bot? Are foreign bots infiltrating tOT again?

As long as Covid doesn’t get the rest of the old people - it’ll be a while before Mandinas will close - then there’s probably another generation that grew up with it that’ll keep it in business a little longer

Guys.

Healthy people have died from covid.

Everyone in this thread saying “he died WITH covid not FROM it” really need to reflect on how idiotic that makes you seem. Sure maybe some numbers are fuzzy here and there and yes this virus isn’t Ebola ... but the possibility exists and can kill healthy young people.

Jesus.

With that being said

I’ve always wanted to check out La Boca, but after this I certainly will never.

Leftists’ religion is their political belief. And those who don’t align with them literally are infidels. And they rejoice in their death.

This mental schema resides in the brain of everyone who votes for Democrats.

“Oh you voted for Biden? Wow. I don’t agree I think that he’s awful but you’re allowed your opinions.”

“Oh you voted for Trump?? I’m going to try and get you fired, paint you as a racist... and I hope you get Covid and die you Nazi.”

Without a doubt, but some are saying he died from a heart attack post surgery.

Not sure which is true. Was the surgery covid related? Is covid causing heart attacks?

Thanks for publicizing this. I’ll make to post a screen shot on all of those restaurants’ websites and put them all on the do not fly list.

That is not going to end well for him.

And without even looking, he has already deleted the Tweet.

so just a big ol coincidence? Gravely ill w a virus that can cause a myriad of issues. One of these issues is blood clots. And just a fluke that a perfectly healthy guy suffers a fatal heart attack can just be written off as an incredibly tragic of instance of bad timing?

That's fine. I never implied it was in jeopardy of going out of business.

Using "new era Nola restaurant" as some sort of insult is just pretty lame; the city is chock full of non new era New Orleans restaurants getting by on reputation & supremely uninspired menus.

it wasn't really meant as an insult, but the way he responds to negative reviews (the real ones) you'd think he owned Commander's or something. The "new era" New Orleans restaurants seem pretty boring across the board to be honest, I would presume from the menu and prices that his aren't the exception. Enjoy your La Boca.
