In the sense that they are part of the simulation we live in, yeah.

Nobody really knows WTF really happened before about 5,000 years ago. We use limited evidence to construct sweeping theories that fit our current world circumstances and call them “settled” science. And then inevitably more discoveries are made that change the previously established facts.
I wonder if life is actually easier when one is this stupid.

If you believe the Ark truly existed, then there is no reason to think dinosaurs, what we now call them, would not have been included. The biblical basis for this view is straightforward: if you believe the Bible is true and the story of the Ark is literal, then all land dwelling animals would have been brought aboard, including dinosaurs. From a non biblical perspective, it is worth asking: how could creatures supposedly extinct for 65 million years still have soft tissue preserved in their fossils? And why do nearly all ancient cultures have stories or artwork featuring dragon like creatures?

What are you trying to say?
Were the instructors and teachers at this camp teaching this or just some random person made the comment?

The dinosaurs were long gone by the time of Noah’s Ark. Long gone by Adam and Eve even. There’s a gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. The word “was” in 1:2 should be translated “became.”

Seems like if he had that kind of power, he would have been less subtle.

I'm just trying to understand what the OP was getting at? Was the religious camp teaching it or just someone misguided making a random statement.
It makes a difference in the context of OPs opening comment.
I'm not confused about the truth.

Wouldn't mind that to be honest. In the meantime, could you swing by and ask them?

Sure. If we’re gonna believe a 900 year old man built giant boat and collected every animal in the world and kept them alive and then after a world flood all these animals left the boat and migrated to different parts of the world to repopulate and left no fossil trail on their journey- - - then sure- - what the heck, throw a T-Rex on the cruise. Why not?

So I was intentionally vauge at the beginning of this and Thanks for All the DV's because of this. But I wanted to get the discussion going without bias. Tthis is really a debate about or more accurately between New Earth Creationists, Old Earth Creationists and Evolutionists and Abiogenesis.
As a trained scientist, it's the one tenant of faith that I wrestle with the most. I can hang my hat on the fact that God provided a spark to get the Universe started and that his hand has guide it's development. I'm not sure that I can fully embrace New Earth creation and a literal interpretation of the bible.
The dilemma is this: Do we accept a literal interoperation of the Bible and a young earth in the face of overwhelming scientific evidence to our world being billions of years old, or do we embrace the science and say the first 25 verses of Genesis 1 are metaphorical in nature and risk folks questioning the accuracy of the rest of the verses in the Bible? Of course those of other religions or atheists could reject the entire thing.
Anyway, that's where the question basically coming from. Personally, I take an old Earth view of things. I think to do otherwise is being disingenuous to the observations in the natural world a actually drive people AWAY from Christianity.

How would you square this against 2 Peter 3:8? quote:With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
That God it timeless. Because he created time. Having created time, he exists outside of time.

But believing a guy built a boat and put some of every animal on it…….nah.
