Cat stopped at one near me to get a pre packaged gallon of Kerosene & got up to the register & they wanted to charge over $30.....he left it right where it was

Had a variation of this happen yesterday. Item had a posted price tag, but it rang up as a different price when scanned at checkout (price had not been updated on shelf).
Told 'em: I'm paying what it says on the tag or you can keep it. They punched in the tag price.

I'd run the numbers on installing dynamic price screens that change based on my inventory levels and most recent purchases.

I hate going inside gas stations. If they don't list prices I won't buy anything and I leave. It's a common courtesy to your customers to show how much something costs. It's disrespectful not to. If their pay at the pump isn't working I drive somewhere else. Don't care that it's an uptown problem. Lived in the city of Memphis for a decade plus and there was always some ghetto bullshite or a long line inside every gas station.
