I’d go snuggle this Buffalo Bill dude if I were the OP. Worth the risk.

Well, you need to work on getting tougher.

Do it for your kids, at the very least.

No clue how our ancestors slept in these conditions. This is pretty damn miserable. God bless the man that invented the AC

Ancestors? I’m 66 and grew up South of Houston. we had no AC until I was 12, don’t remember being hot, we did have a attic fan. Wife is same age, grew up in Greta, never had AC as a kid.

Having a fan makes all the difference in the world. This is where a solar panel and a few batteries make all the difference in the world.

People’s core temps were much lower then from lower percentages of body fat and diminished levels of fluid secreting from their vaginas.

I cant risk using gas for that. Not sure how much will be available to buy the next few days

frick that. Can’t sleep hot. After Laura, worked from first light to dark. Cranked the gen half an hour before quitting time, topped off fuel right before bed. Window unit cutting off at empty woke me up in the mornings. Enough to sleep comfortably, charge phone, keep freezer cold.

In my case, no running water anywhere, water was exponentially more valuable than gas. My sister literally drove kitty litter containers full of tap water from SELA so we could shite. I smelled like the July foreskin of an Iranian leper, finally took to the baby’s wipes.

They would take a cold bath as well before going to bed. Trying to get that core temp down. And as has been said, high ceilings and fans. Slept with the windows open.

I can remember staying at my grandmas when I was a kid and she had an a/c in the living room but not anywhere else. Going to sleep was sometimes a chore, it you got used to it.
