Part of it is probably dealer loyalty. Buy from people within your network.
A lot of the south is more likely to have a decades old John Deere dealership than a Nissan dealership.

Bought one in 2005 and it had brake problems from day one and after repeated.repairs to pads and rotors the caliper locked up and wound up costing me over a $1000 to repair. Got a sorry we can not help you letter from Nissan. Never buy this junk

The new Frontiers are awesome, especially with that naturally aspirated v6. It’ll have a hard time competing with the upcoming Tacoma, but that Frontier is a great option for those that want a simpler & proven engine.
This is what I'll be debating when my 2014 Frontier (177k miles) dies.
I was thinking I wanted to switch to a Tacoma, but the newly designed Frontiers look nice, and have me questioning the potential switch to a Tacoma.
I've had minimal issues over the years with my Frontier, but I also keep up with all of the routine services.

As you can tell from the design, Nissan stopped giving a shite about the Titan a very long time ago.
To be fair, Nissan had not redesigned the Frontier in 10-15 years, either, and only recently redesigned it in last year or so.

Thank you for that link. So essentially the government killed the small compact due to their requirements based on footprint of vehicle. Manufacturers in response made a bigger and less fuel efficient truck in return, but it was better on paper according to its dimensions vs mpg....leave it to the government

I’d ask them to stop building Altimas but that’s a case of a-hole drivers flocking to a cheap brand rather than bad cars.
It's always a frickin' Altima

Nice truck. Never caught up to it's competitors. Only had two generations in 20 years. Was behind from the start and never remotely caught up.

Where the F is all of this supposed demand for electric vehicles? I’m up in MA., and I see neither the demand, nor the $$$ for them???
The demand is not there and won't be there with pricing. Unfortunately I see another big big big bailout of car companies in the future when they realize no one can afford EVs

They're fugly and didn't sell worth a shite.

Well Bye! Ugly truck anyways IMO. Next should be the Tundra, only good years for that were 2011-2015 range. Oh and that horrendous Honda car truck thingy.

My 2003? Frontier was great, and I rolled past 100k with no major issues. However, the interior was complete plastic garbage.
I kept trying to find an excuse to go back to Nissan, and they fumbled, over and over.

Considering the Titan barely outsold the POS Leaf, I think it’s safe to say they have a demand problem.

I have a 17 with 140k on it.
Factory tailgate hinge/bushing sucks. Replaced with billet version.
They removed the dip stick for the trans. Makes it annoying to drain and fill every 30k.
Interior looks new. Truck drives like new. I did add a catch can to the pcv. I don't run the thin 0w20 oil that is specced.
Mpg averages 20.5 if I keep it under 4k rpm on takeoffs.
I don't.
16.5 mpg
Everyone who rides in it makes the same comments. It's really quiet and the seats are great.
No complaints.
I'll probably pick up a 2024 at the end of mext year.

Is that the new body style?
I honestly like them. I wish they were more popular. I think the big issue they have is they don't offer a more fuel efficient engine.

Almost nobody worries about this every 30K miles - good for you! You should pick up a 2024 model when you can. You are the kind of owner that could drive it for 15 years so long as you avoid accidents and floods.
