I doubt any vaccine or drug has ever had this much scrutiny or as large of a study.
Or been studied for so little time before being forced on a populace....

The meningitis vaccine they required was not experimental...HUGE difference.
There is a decent chance Phizer will have their biologics license by LSU's fall start date, if not it should only be a few weeks after. The insert language and advertising parameters will be the slowest part. They have submitted magnitudes more safety data than provided on any BLA in history. Moderna is about 4-5 weeks behind.

We were on campus last weekend for orientation and they specifically said it’s not mandatory because it’s not FDA approved. My son still will not get when it is approved.
As of Friday 73% of faculty and 26% of students have been vaccinated

Us, too!!!
I’m not anti-vaccine (my dad had polio in the 1950s) - but this is just not right. Even our dr said he’s not sure if he fully recommends it yet

Can that qualify as a medical exemption?

A publicly funded university has no legal standing to require a vaccine for Covid19.
If public schools can require vax like tetanus, diptheria, pertussis...explain how this is different?

Southeastern wouldn't let me SCHEDULE classes without getting a meningitis vaccine a few years back.
That vaccine is FDA approved. The Covid vaccines are emergency use authorization only although I think they are all sailing through the approval process.
LSU is mandating that their students (primarily young people) get a vaccine that isn’t FDA approved. I think that’s risky.

Wait a minute. That clause is standard. If there's an outbreak of anything, it MAY happen.
Well. It's not going to be standard because they treat covid differently. People don't need to have any symptoms at all for there to be a covid outbreak. They use questionable tests and report all positives as "cases" even when people feel fit as a fiddle.

Is meningitis the same as a virus that some bat eating, communist frick let escape from a lab in a communist shite hole of a country?

Just stop with this nonsense.
Please tell me that you are not serious.....
THIS VACCINE IS 100% EXPERIMENTAL... THIS IS THE LARGEST HUMAN EXPERIMENT IN THE HISTORY OF MEDICINE.
Also, surprise, you can't sue big pharma if anything happens to you after you get the vax.
The amount of ignorance about this Vax WITH NO LONG TERM STUDIES is the real nonsense.
NOBODY, especially children and young people, should be forced to take this vaccine. NOBODY.

Vaccines there are more than one. This will be moot in a few weeks when Phizers BLA is approved.

Which is the reason there is more safety data for the vaccines than filed with any other BLA in history.

You haven't been able to do that since the Vaccine Act of 1986. Claims are handled under the VICP or in this of COVID measures and vaccines CICP.

Obviously, the emergency use was before normal length studies but not the time has passed to meet the standard for a biologics license.

This follows the safe public policy arguments as many other vaccines. Arguable certainly and many people will disagree on this as do some physicians.

Yeah, but that’s something that’s actually deadly to college-aged people.

Thats the problem with academia. The faculty starts badgering the 74%, to join the 26%. And they get 4+ years to do it
