Damn now I know why so many kids from north Texas go to Arkansas. I know they gave in-state tuition and apparently anyone can get in

When given the choice of Baton Rouge or Fayetteville, they usually choose Fayetteville. I can't imagine why.

Rocketman Sean okeefe had LSU on the rise and was in the 120s in the mid 2000s

Not Ivy League but solid middle of the SEC

Sad they wasted that momentum

How about posting the entire list so we can compare COLLEGE EDUCATION vs. FOOTBALL SCHOOL Rankings? This way when you SEC people make fun of a College ranked in the Top 10 Education wise compared to their Football Rankings, it would make sense as to why your football scool is ranked at the bottom of the Education list

Major in something technical/engineering at any SEC school and it won’t be the school holding your career back.

You can have a great engineering career or get into a great graduate school. It is what you make it. Going to a more expensive undergraduate is a waste of money and will not give a return on investment comparable. I would recommend going to the in state public SEC school. I am pro Vandy, but it is expensive for undergrad.

The only thing you may run up against is companies have schools they recruit so it will most likely be difficult to jump to a NE/MidWest company out of the SE.

Also even graduate school rankings are misleading. It is all about you research professor and your research.

I'd say no.

Wife and I are in Philadelphia PA, staying at a hotel within "University City", basically Penn's Campus. Asians are everywhere. Many hot Asian chicks. The % of black undergrads is 7.8. Asians are 26.2%, Whites are 33.6.

Penn figures

Thought ATM was a lot higher and neck and neck with UT.

MSST is definitely higher than LSU, OM and Bama

You do realize there’s only like 15 schools in the US that offer this degree, right?

Vanderbilt is the lamest, most boring school in the SEC.

Diversity is definitely included in the calculations. I went to a liberal arts college that used to be in the Top 10 but then dropped lower, and the alums got a long winded email from the school apologizing that one particular year they didn't get enough minorities so US News penalized us. We still haven't gotten back to baseline. The stench of not being woke enough will stay with a school.

All of these rankings are bullshite. Accreditation and employment after graduation are the only things that matter. And accreditation is becoming more suspect.

I’ve done everything I’ve ever wanted with the degree I got.

And honestly, many bachelors degrees are pretty worthless from almost all of these schools.

Aren't these things partly based on the amount of minorities, specifically blacks, at universities?

No. But typical comment. Didn't take long either. Exactly what do you think the population of black students at these universities are? Start with LSU.
