There was a straight up genius a few years older than me at my HS, perfect ACT/SAT, Calculus in middle school type. He went to UF and I remember thinking “wait that’s a good school?”

Are there people really paying $60k plus in tuition and fees a year for their kids to go to *insert school name here* undergraduate degrees?

Depends on the school, but yes. Well worth it when you get hired.
Sucks, but that is the way the world works. Certain big time companies only recruit from certain big time universities.

For sure. I’ve always wondered how many regret doing so

LSU cracked the top 200 during O’Keefe’s days, if I remember correctly. The rankings are not that big of a deal and does not speak much to the quality of the programs. Acceptance rates, retention rates, years to graduation, etc. all factor in.

Aren't these things partly based on the amount of minorities, specifically blacks, at universities?
And probably a lot other laughable categories, like "social justice awareness" or "strength of diversity"

Possibly. Depends on the degree I would think and also on the person and their drive.

as long as these "colleges" have football then these rankings don't mean shite
Posted on 9/12/22 at 3:33 pm to Mr Boyles
List is just meant to trick people into paying more money for college.

That LSU Petroleum Eng ranking at #5 overall though

How about posting the entire list so we can compare COLLEGE EDUCATION vs. FOOTBALL SCHOOL Rankings?
This way when you SEC people make fun of a College ranked in the Top 10 Education wise compared to their Football Rankings, it would make sense as to why your football scool is ranked at the bottom of the Education list

I always laugh when southerners base a school’s education program being based on how good they are in football. For example, coon asses are always shocked and will argue to the death when I tell them Miami is on par with most Ivy League type educations.
