What are you crying about?

You do realize the stress difference between a NA V8 vs a small 4cylinder turbo hybrid to move a 5500lb vehicle, right?

21 Land Cruiser with 60k miles is going for more than those new V4 land cruisers. I really liked the new GX too but they put a turbo V6 in it. I guess that’s the same engine as the new tundra

Not exactly apples to apples.

Sticker on the old model was $90k. New ones are $60k I think

Just curious, can you still get a Nissan Frontier with a V-8?

I bought a 2025 Tundra with the V6 three months ago. No complaints and it pulls everything my V8 F150 used to pull.

I’m driving a 2021 Ram 1500 Bighorn right now. Unless Ram is ditching their 5.7 V8, that’s probably what I’ll go with when I have to replace it next year.

Since when did Toyota start doing this?

Everyone is doing this. Dumb Govt BS. Hopefully Trump will take the handcuffs off the auto makers.

Big V8s are gonna get harder and harder to get.

The trucks that have them are gonna be worth quite a bit after several years

But no auto manufacturer would care. They have moved on, consumers for the most part have as well.

Yeah I was hoping to hear some personal experience with the V6 Tundras. The V6 isn't really my preference, but I suppose I won't rule it out if there is no noticeable drop off.

Turbo maintenance/reliability will change your mind. Educate yourself on turbos maintenance and reliability.

I have one. I’m not coming from a v8 or even a truck as my previous vehicle so I’m not sure how much I can help you. My wife’s Jeep Cherokee has a hemi v8 and I don’t notice any marked difference in power. I love my tundra it though. Looking to get a v8 for my son soon.
I will say, the v8 with aftermarket exhaust sound great. Can’t really get that with the turbo 6.

The first mechanic I ever knew in my childhood was an old man, Charlie Parker that owned the Amoco station down the street. I would ride my bike down there after school and hang out. He talked to me about engines and told me that someday soon the 4 cylinder would become the new 6 cylinder.
