It’s 67.5% democrat and 30.2% independent. I’m going to go out on a (rather substantial) limb and say that a lot of them are either Bernie Sanders types, support whatever extreme candidates that have various hair colors and are confused about their gender, or are democrats that are at least smart enough to claim independence so they can appease their income sources.
Either way - 97.7% aren’t republican.

When I listened to WWL radio on my way to and from NOLA post Katrina a former attorney for the Saints was on air one Sunday. He said that the minute rookies got their first paycheck and saw the deductions for the money they earned, most became instant Republicans.

I’m surprised by the amount of Independents (instead of Republicans) in the NHL.
And I’m surprised the % of Democrats in the WNBA and NBA isn’t significantly higher.
