When you empower the ignorant and corrupt, bad things happen.

She thought she was above the law. All signs pointed to her being so.

And when you are stupid, arrogant, and mean, and are given what seems to be unchecked power, you think you can do anything you want.

It will all start crumbling down.

You underestimate the stupidity and willing ignorance of the New Orleans voting public.

It’s worth noting this is the guy leading Cantrell’s recall

Also sounds like they were patting their holstered guns gangsta style to get him to back off, but unfortunately the police lost the recording

On April 21, 2021, Batiste alleged, Banks and Newell showed up unannounced at his house, where Newell patted his gun in a threatening fashion. Batiste called 911, but the Orleans Parish Communications District said the call was not recorded.

Corruption charges can be state or federal IIRC. And they would be smart to do a change of venue.

I wish you were right brother, but sadly ain't nothing gonna happen to Teedy.
To many people she is associated with are scared to call her out or testify against her.
Anyone responsible for investigating her illegal activities will drop the ball or somehow end up disappearing.

Cantrell is losing support from key Democrats. The op-ed by James Carville was a public acknowledgment by prominent liberals that the city is losing ground. The media is starting to take notice of her self-serving ways. It is highly likely what she is doing openly is also occurring behind closed doors, rubbing the wrong people the wrong way.

These times are different than when Marc Morial was in office and people made accusations against him. She will get taken out of power as too many are losing too much with the trajectory New Orleans now suffers.
