I hear you. Seems like the past 2 years have pushed people to breaking points where they have made big changes in their lives.

Props for having the guts to just say screw it and leave.

That list pretty much proves the point.

Whole lot of hot garbage on that list.

this did two things

1. made baws even more resilient to never come back again

2. scared otherwise sane people who now think new orleans is a cess pool of covid infections

one of my friends (PhD education) told me she was going to come visit soon but decided against doing so because "covid is really bad" there. just lol

many others with the same thought process

Dude Kenner is seeing record real estate prices. Are the “less desirable” areas of OP still getting record prices?

naa last weekend was a ghost town and I'll be out this weekend to see but it's not looking promising

it is Aug but still

we were doing great numbers in Aug recently before covid

I live uptown, it was a normal weekend, got coffee then lunch on magazine. Street was bustling. There were lines to get into hi hat & bearcat Saturday morning

The cancelling of festivals & such are a much bigger deal than this temporary shite. Hopefully having foitball & some sort of mardi graw can patch it because they are on the verge of being in a deep deep hole

I just named the two best of each, probably in the region. Although, I like the new hipsterish Thai place in the Marigny.

Ok. I just think people are fed up in general with NO. Having to show proof of vaccination is enough

Agree because where does it end?

I would think a good bit of vaccinated older people arent cool with walking into a place of business and having to prove their status with medical records like theyre a damn leper.

“Whether any of us can or can't WHY IN THE BLUE frick would we want to throw away massive amounts of money on severely overpriced real estate on a pot holed street in a crime mecca of the Western world”

This cannot be stressed enough. I’m talking to you conservatives in Lakeview. All you liberals in Nola can stay in your fairy tale.

Less desirable is relative. But places like gentilly & edge of central city are seeing hikes, I know that first hand

Why do you keep posting a screenshot of some loser on Twitter DMing an account he mistakenly thought was LE? Pretty strange.

Katie’s, Clesi’s, and an art gallery owned by a republican mayor candidate aren’t exactly painting the whole picture.

I’ve heard Scot Craig of Katie’s on the radio many times and he’s always been reluctant to criticize the administration for fear of retribution. I guess he’s hit his breaking point. Many carnival Krewe’s share the same sentiment. They never speak out because they know their permits can be denied at the snap of her fingers. It’s hard to imagine that this will get any worse but it most definitely will when she is re-elected and becomes a lame duck. It’s downright scary to think.
