They actually get crushed down. My uncle(RIP)had some hunting land in near Poplarville, MS and he used to get them by the trailer load and fill in the roads on his land. They worked great.

Has there been any news that the repairs will be done according to the procedures for that particular road so they won't be back next month or next year?

That's a good start, but what will they after finishing Nashville Ave.?

I guarantee you they are just going to ride around and shovel cold mix into the holes and call them fixed. They'll let traffic hit the mix to "compact" it and move on to the next one. After the first rain and a little traffic, the mix will be washed out. I understand something needs to be done, but this is a waste of resources.

Moreno’s administration is also planning on hiring 50 new DPW workers
This is not the way.
Contract that shite out. Why would they want to create 50 more government employees with lifetime jobs and benefits?
(I know why)

They're planning to pave over those too.

Those workers are being paid with unused bond dollars from a DPW account, not the general fund.
Does that indicate new jobs created against disappearing dollars?

Fill them with dirt and grow Marijuana. That would make NOLA ecstatic

When she got elected I'm pretty sure she said they only had like 20 employees working streets.
She wanted to get that number to either 100 or 150. I can't remember.
It's crazy that they only had 20 employees fixing the streets and pot holes.

While while Latoya reads the news grumbling about how many first class tickets and accommodations that could have paid for.

Why are people so negative on here? The city gets criticism even when they’re trying to do something good.

6000 pot holes filled per month…
At that rate, victory by 2045!
Geaux, Moreneaux!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to hire a bunch of Gypsies. I hear they do asphalt work.
In all seriousness would it be better to hire private companies to do the work?
