The Hand family moved to the city last year to escape growing violence in the New Orleans, Louisiana suburb where they previously lived, Rayan said.

'It's crazy because he was telling me every day, "I want to get away from this crap, go buy a house in Alabama,"' Rayan said. 'And then this happened.'

fricking terrible, no where in this country is really safe in the end.

Wound up in Montgomery when I evacuated from Ida. Definitely A LOT of black people in that city.

Terrible story, but moving to Montgomery to escape the crime in New Orleans is like switching to Red Bull because coffee has too much caffeine.

Tragic and yet utterly avoidable. This man has no obligation to spread the gospel to the beasts of the field. Jesus would have understood.

Out of curiosity I’m curious what made them select Montgomery, Alabama of all places in that state after moving

They didn’t move to Montgomery proper, they moved to a suburb.

A 17 year old is not a “boy”

Any guesses how long “Boy” will be in jail?

Better question is what we will do with that racist white shooter whom i can only assume must be white because he attempted to use his angry white privilege to get away with a shooting.

No photos to show, but his friends list......

Is this the part where we can be righteously indignant and "call out" the person and their family, employer, friends, etc., i.e. dox them in the name of our "cause"? Or does that only flow one way?

The best way to spread the gospel to yutes like that is to arrange an in-person meeting with Jesus. Let him handle it.

This. It’s a HORRIBLE tragedy, but stop trying to save these pieces of shite and stay out of the freaking ghetto. They’ll all find God soon enough in a similar fashion.
