As for breweries, Urban South is king in New Orleans

I agree but Courtyard has better

Both have pros and cons. Worth going to either or both if you have time

It’s alright, but NOLA isn’t near as fun a place to hangout at compared to Urban South despite the fact that Urban gets a little too crowded at times. I also feel like Urban has better brewery only releases. Plus, the Jamaican food truck across the street from Urban is fantastic. Absolutely delicious

Courtyard is a real chill spot to hang out at (much less raucous than Urban South and better atmosphere than NOLA), but they mostly specialize in IPA’s. That’s great if you love IPA’s but not great if you don’t. The other breweries have solid IPA’s as well as a decent variety of other styles of beer.

I’ve also been to Brieux Carre and wasn’t overly impressed with their product, but loved the location.

I haven’t been to Second Line, Miel, All Relation, or Port Orleans.

Courtyard is tops for me and next would be All Relations. Luckily they are very close to each other. Urban South and NOLA are more of a clean "corporate" atmosphere which is pretty boring IMO.

IPA’s

I’m really curious to see how this type of beer does in this new decade. A few years ago some were calling it a fad but it seems like they’re still growing and popular. Only time will tell, I guess.

Do pick up hookers in the FQ

Leave your wallet with a friend and only take another cash to pay the hooker. They will Rob you without you noticing if you leave it on your person or in the room no matter how well you think you hid it. Trust me on this

Don't attempt to walk to Bourbon St. from your hotel. You will die.

Walking from lower garden district across CBD to bourbon? I’ve made that walk before and it was fine. It’s a long arse walk but didn’t seem too dangerous. Granted it was early afternoon I wouldn’t walk anywhere more than a block or two away late at night

I always leave Bourbon by 6. If you decided to stay, head towards Esplanade. Nothing good happens below St. Ann.

That bad now? Last time I was in the Quarter was about 10 years ago. We usually did the opposite and stayed on the Canal side, not the Esplanade end.

Depends on what you like. Razoo, thugs, Hand Grenandes, et al aren't my thing.

Give me the residential side all day.

Vocal male Uber feminists usually are that way to cover for being misogynistic a-holes that treat women like dirt in person.

Fritzel's European Jazz Pub is a cool hangout.

Great suggestion. Get there early because it is a tiny place.

Cafe Du Monde in the FQ is not worth the wait. Go to the Riverwalk and eat them in peace overlooking the Mississippi.

Do WWII Museum and eat at Cochon.

Breakfast at Criollo.

Carousel Bar.

BBQ Shrimp at Mr. B's.

Drinks at Napolean House.

M.S. Rau if you need to spend a million on some antiques.

while at the river walk you can do a steam boat cruise also. Nothing spectacular but nice to ride up the river and get away from the crowds a bit.

Don't get too drunk. Look out for yourself and your friends.

New Orleans is a fun time but you also have to be aware of your surroundings.
