That directly have an impact of the mortality rate of this? Uhhh no. Age it's a very important piece of data when considering someone that died young from this. What underlying conditions contributed to it.

No offense to the 98 year old but that one shouldn't be counted.

Yeah, for all the posters rightly pointing out that there's not clear context on a lot of info, "underlying health issues" is vague enough to apply to almost anyone.

I dont know this man or anything about him. But truth be told it is about time we do away with the myth that this only affects people who are already on their death bed.

No, this is not the most dangerous thing in the world. Hence why there are 10 of thousands of reported cases of people making a full recovery. The number of people who never got tested would make that number higher.

But the fact of the matter is, sometimes shite happens. Elderly people are 100% more at risk. But that doesnt mean it doesn't serve a risk to the average person as well. I can only pray that all of my family remain safe.

Yea, after seeing his photo it’s safe to assume this grossly obese person likely had the diabetes.

I think some of y’all underestimate the level of obesity in Louisiana. You’ve been conditioned that having an extra 50 pounds of body weight is normal, just a gut. With obesity comes diabetes. Louisiana is the perfect “pitre dish” for this shite to affect the non-elderly (ie, the good ole boy age 40-50).

People keep throwing “underlying conditions” like it’s nothing. I’d wager MOST Americans have some type of underlying condition and all Americans have loved ones who are at risk.
yes, this. There are more people in America with underlying health conditions than just about anywhere. And lots who may not even know it.

That's what most are dying of.

That's what this virus leads to.

My mom and dementia and was bed ridden... Pneumonia is what got her.

That's what's rough about this virus. If you get it while recovering or hit with something else it can snowball.

It does wreck obese people it been reported.
