Yeah, New Orleans benefited from a lot of good will tourism in the years after Katrina. The whole country is suffering right now.

i think you have to also have doors open and air circulating through the building that isn't recycled

which is a problem in the Gulf South during summer

And churches.

MLB games are so safe you can remove your mask though.

Are you an infrequent drinker or do you know about all bars in Nola and JP? Pick one

It really is ridiculous

We have a virus that targets the unhealthy and the state gov is offering Big Macs if you get tested

Bars and breweries shut down but not restaurants that serve booze

The new restriction is for the sale of take out beverages only. She’s not stopping the sale of alcohol at restaurant bars.

Can we still go to Felipes and sit at the bar without a mask and order margaritas and chips and salsa? Asking for a friend .

I’ve been to every relevant drinking hole in both parishes numerous times over

I don’t go sit at a bar every night. But 2-3x a month, yea. Seek out new places in my wheelhouse, yea.

And 10-15 years ago much more frequently.

I don’t like latoya at all. This isn’t just a democratic thing, though. Politics turn people into mouth breathers.

OP you need to fix your title

Starting tomorrow at 6am, all bars and restaurants in the City of New Orleans will be prohibited from selling takeout alcohol beverages. Additionally, gathering sizes are reduced to 25 persons inside and 50 persons outside. (Guidelines required)

Since we’ve moved to Phase 2, the City has seen unfavorable trends in COVID-19 data. Orleans currently has 9,752 cases and 548 deaths. Almost doubling the daily average cases to approximately twice the threshold of 50 cases a day.

We see clear indication that we have returned to widespread community transmission. We have a very narrow window to act and turn this around in order to get our kids back to school safely.
Let’s follow guidelines and #MaskUpNOLA

New Orleans has always been run by Democrats. Not that political affiliation matters with shutdowns or restrictions. At the first sign of trouble Greg Abbott immediately started bringing back restrictions.
