This seems like a good idea for a city that relies on tourism and service industries.

I got my 2021 assessment notice today.
40% increase over 2020.

I think they found a way around losing all the tourism & service industry money.

There are no good bars in Metairie. If it’s not the lack of beer selection, or well made drinks, or solid TV setups, then it’s the people that visit them that ruin the experience.

not really dude.. can't stand latoya but the goal here is

1 - keep bars open

and

2 - stop the mingling of large groups on bourbon

this is the only way to do that. big groups every weekend on bourbon. thousands every damn weekend

This idea from Latoya and Avegno that they have to have less than 50 cases a day.............I feel for the New Orleans folks. That is going to be a while, and nearly impossible to move up in phases.

How are bars staying open under this order?

Didn’t Edwards order all bars statewide to close except for to go orders?

So Edwards says all bars can do is to go orders, Latoya says no to go orders....I.e. all bars in Nola are effectively closed. Am I missing something?

New Orleans had less that 50 cases a day for about all but 2 or 3 days in May and June. Not impossible at all.

If people have any common sense they shouldn't lose the ability to wash their hands and wear a mask based on arbitrary phases.

That will teach those baws in Lake Charles/Lafayette/Baton Rouge/Wherever else might have an actual significant COVID case-load not to mess with Latoya!!!

You can’t be that dense. When you are in a lower phase such as phase 1, nobody is doing anything so it is easier to keep the numbers low. You seriously think it will be just as reasonable to have under 50 cases when everyone is out and about in phase 3. Seriously??
