It isn’t just New Orleans. A lot of busy airports are having problems now. I just got though La Guardia security line with PreCheck and Priority and it was an hour and a half wait.

I have flown out of MSY three times this year in the middle of the week and never waited longer than 10 minutes in line.

Maybe there’s a difference between flying in the middle of the week and flying on a Sunday morning? Idk just a thought

What I've noticed in nola is that any flights before 9am, the lines are long. All my flights mid-morning and later have been minutes waiting in line

All the media propaganda does is get people there 4+ hours early in the wee morning hours, overwhelming an already short staffed crew. These things are timed a certain way to keep constant traffic flow through the airport. Creating a kink in the line is not helping.

Most of these airports are fine once they get past the early morning rush of people showing up way early.

I know someone that flew out and back in of Msy on Tuesday of this week. He waited 10 minutes.

I'd rather drive 14 hours than deal with that shite.

It’s spring break and They’ve been fine here in Orlando and we get way more traffic than Nola.

Plus our airport hasn’t been updated since the 80s

I’m sitting on the Tampa airport waiting on my flight. Made it through in 5 minutes with precheck. It looked like the non precheck line was probably 10-15 minutes. What’s more, the TSA staff were pleasant and professional and kept things moving. The long lines may not be limited to MSY, but they aren’t everywhere.

there is. The difference is TSA agents know Sunday and Mondays are the heaviest traffic so they choose those days to call in sick. This allows for maximum pain to be felt by the consumers.

Hopefully this ends soon b/c it is not good.

Another issue with New Orleans Airport is they had over 100 employees quit since the shutdown.

Help me understand how you came to conclusion the lines at the New Orleans airport are President Trump’s fault. Spell it out for me.

Good to know, I have to fly IAH to Den tomorrow.

DEN is a cluster frick right now with construction. Flying in shouldn't be a problem but departing is a nightmare. Not as bad as MSY though.
