Can anyone enlighten me how they don't hold their value compared to Toyotas?
I bought my Tahoe preowned, year old. It was comical. Great car, yada yada from sales guy.. then you go to finance guy and he tries to sell extended warranty. So what does he do? Pulls out a stat sheet on how many repairs per 100 vehicles. Toyota at the top. Chevy near the bottom.
Point being, that's likely one reason Toyota holds value.

I'm debating sequoia vs Yukon vs land cruiser
Is Toyota truly superior ?

Yes, but the Land Cruiser is really a different animal. They are the only Toyota still imported from Japan...are built on a 3/4 ton frame and are designed to last 25 years in the roughest conditions on earth.
I drive a Land Cruiser and am always amazed at how different it is than other vehicles.
I honestly believe, top to bottom, they are the best vehicle in the world.

Finance manager at Chevy said Tahoe's are better as in they are tighter on the road and don't sway.

All true. Expensive damn vehicle, but you get what you pay for.

no way to raise or lower the 3rd row
Do they actually fold flat now? That was one of the dumbest things about the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade. Having to take out the 3rd row if you wanted to have a flat load deck. It was especially bad on the Escalades. They wanted people to pay upwards of $85K for a vehicle that had a removable 3rd row. Just seemed like a really cheap design.

Hope you weren't gullible enough to believe that load of crap. They are the same vehicle outside the front and rear cap and a few cosmetic interior differences.
ETA: The Denali is a different animal all together due to the magnetic ride control.

Wife looked at them, the price has gone up so much I don't think they're worth it anymore.
She ended up getting the big Mercedes suv for less than the Denali she wanted originally.

Nope as I don't plan on owning another one, just pointing out my experience from 8 years ago with my last GM product.

Personally, I think the Tahoe's look better than the Yukons.

Only advantage the Tahoe or Suburban might give you is it's a recognized law enforcement vehicle. The sequoia is a little less conspicuous, so there are advantages with each. Just depends on your mission/environment/shift hours, etc.

Oh how I would love a land cruiser as my next vehicle, only if they were a tad bit cheaper.

Wife has a 2015 Yukon Denali, solid vehicle, nice interior, perfect on road trips. ONlY thing I don't like is when the TV is down you cant see out of the rear of the vehicle. It pissed me off at first almost to the point I thought about returning it. We got used to it and I don't think about it now

They fold flat, at least in the Denali they do.

I put nearly 300K miles on a 2007 Yukon XLT, SLT-2 trim.
I'd say it was a fantastic vehicle but stay away from the GM 5.3L motor.
Expect the interior trim to degrade meaning the last few years will have the vehicle looking more like a work truck than a luxury SUV. I was fine with that though.
The seats were great and the AC cranks out at a high volume.
FIL has a '10 Yukon Denali... Air conditioned seats are phenomenal
