A recent study also said CBD cuts down on opioid cravings by 2-3x as well as lowers their cortisol levels significantly. Huge stride forward but let our politicians keep pretending like this is a bad thing.

This is the gateway to get off opioids.

So that’s what they mean when they say weed is a gateway drug!

LSU’s marijuana production facility is off Highland near CCLA.

It's further down the road than that. Just about across the street from Ruffino's.

Alot of follks are saying Mike Strain is holding up things. Regardless, as stated, over 4 years after passing the MMJ laws, not one single patient has the product yet. It is a total embarrassment.

People keep leaving and taking their taxable income with them. But at least we have Mike Strain saving us from all the terrible evils of devil weed.

I'm telling you. These weed laws get passed and everyone in Louisiana is gonna die. Mike is saving us.

The federal prohibition will end before Louisiana does anything about legalization as a state.

Nope. Someone that I know very well was able to get off of long term (11 years worth) morphine and percocet by smoking pot for pain instead. When they got off, the pot was easy to drop and she only needs some every now and then. The daily pain she suffered is gone.

Screw doctors and drug companies and their scam called western medicine.

I think Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and New Orleans should legalize it.

How would cities change state law?

I’m not hating. I’m just speaking the hard truth of it.

Maybe. But quite often this type of statement

is an indicator of either an avenue to skirt the law or an avenue to fleece the desperate and gullible.

None of this matters until a dispensary actually opens. Everything is being held up by the AG offices. Last I heard was it could be July or August.

Want some alcohol. Check.
Tobacco. Yep.
Opiods. Noooo problem.
Adderall - sure!

Green leafy substance that grows naturally in the ground, has medicinal purposes, and gets you high (like alcohol, opiods, adderall, etc.), NOPE!!!

I stopped by their grand opening on Saturday.

Their green wacky wavy man had come loose and was napping in the parking lot.

I think they will do well once if anyone can get lazy arse Mike Strain off his high horse and let the product sales begin.

There are a lot of people who are on opioids who don't want to be, for them this is an alternative previously unavailable. This is also a chance for doctors try something else before jumping straight to opioids.

Their advertising of the message is a little over the top but the logic behind it is sound. I think they could do a better job. The click baity wording is lazy and isn't doing anyone any favors.
