BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Medical marijuana will soon be available to qualifying patients, despite recent roadblocks to access. Now, health care providers are expanding to provide for potential patients
Dr. Chad Rossitter and his wife, Isabella Rossitter, held a grand opening for the Total Health Clinic. Located on Essen Lane near Our Lady of the Lake, the facility provides screenings and recommendations for people who qualify for medical marijuana treatment.

This is the first step to complete legalization.

Dr. Rossitter said his clinic is not a dispensary, but rather an additional avenue for patients seeking the alternative treatment when it becomes available.
False advertising.

Clinic providing help to people who need it?
Politicians need to step in and stop this immediately.

“This is the gateway to get off opioids. We think of this to help out with the opioid crisis that we’re facing in the nation. I think this is going to be a key ingredient to that,” Chad Rositter said.
I support legalization, but they may be overselling it a little.

I'm guessing this is the one at Essen and Picardy with the weed leaf sign out front?

I think Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and New Orleans should legalize it.
It would boost tourism and claw back some of that economic activity lost to Texas over the years.

Legalize it and tax it.
This state needs the money.

There's quit a buzz about this new clinic.

Just a little. There is enough there to comfortably support legalization without pushing this lie.

Except the State Police are keeping the implementation of the law held up with legal wranglings. It's more like "Theoretical new medical marijuana clinic".

LSU’s marijuana production facility is off Highland near CCLA.

I don’t think it’s LSP. I believe it’s Mike Strain’s Office holding it up.

A recent VA study showed marijuana could reduce opioid usage by up to 50%.

Can you link that? I would like to read it.

Or it isn't - not in Louisiana at least. The amount of raw stupidity exhibited yesterday in the hearing for the bill to legalize hemp farming in Louisiana was on full display. If our legislators are that ignorant on a crop that can't even get a person high, then full legalization in LA is not coming anytime soon.

I'm with you. I think Louisiana will be one of the last 5 states to amend their marijuana laws.
