He actually had an ID on himself but they wanted to make this fake story up about him forgetting his ID so he can be more relatable to the people that work at LSU?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Makes more sense the guy holding his wallet and reporting for the first day of work not having a valid ID of any kind.

Forgetting your ID on the first day of work is not relatable to me at all or probably 99% of the people that work at LSU. I guess I wouldnt be surprised if this was a thing considering the sources (LSU and local news).
I can understand forgetting an ID if you took it out of your wallet. Walking out of the house for work without your wallet doesnt happen. Hell, leaving the house to go anywhere in a car without a wallet and keys doesnt happen

People forget their drivers licenses, I've done it multiple times, though it's been a while.

Oh man you really understand the issue here and your explanation is really poignant.
When you forgot your drivers license did LSU still give you your LSU ID or did they tell you to come back when you have your driver license?
I swear nuance is dead even though it is important most all of the time.
