This for me too. I listened to his "off topic" podcast on which he rifts on politics and whatnot. He basically implored his listeners to vote for Biden because Trump might start WWIII. I took from the episode that he watches a lot of network news and is a supporter of the modern "journalist".
I don't care how open minded you think you are, if you watch network news for your sources then you will decide to hate Trump.
Btw, I'm subscribed to that podcast and I don't think he's put another one out since the election.
Still think he's probably a good historian and will listen to his hardcore histories but with a tad more salt from now on.

No, no I can't read a book at the gym, when driving, cleaning around the house, taking the pup for a walk, etc.

Is part 2 the last part or will there be more? I don't really like waiting 6 months between parts and would rather just binge them once he's done with the series.

Did some really good episodes on the Black Death, Jack the Ripper, Carl Panzram, MK Ultra...lot of serial killer and cryptozoology episodes.
Their series on the Donner Party is one of the best things I've ever listened to.

Yeah I've listened to a bunch of those. The JFK one was really good too.
Never listened to the Men In Black one. May have to hunt that down when I get some time.

It's old. I think I found them years ago looking up podcasts on the Dyatlov Pass incident

Well he used to be a TV news reporter and radio host. He fancies himself a "journalist".

i love a good OT podcast talk thread.
y’all probably just added 25-30 hours of content to my library from recommendations. Not including Dan Carlin’s stuff. Makes my 40+ hours a week go bye fast.

Oh man if you like Roman stuff you've got to check out Punic Nightmares
It's all about the Punic wars between Carthage and Rome.
His account of the battle of Cannae inspired my POV write up of that battle

I’m almost done with the episode and I just don’t care for this one. Maybe it’s the subject matter, but I find this series to be almost impossible to get into. Very difficult to follow.

I’m on King of Kings part II which is the rise and fall of the Assyrians leading to Cyrus, Darius and Xerxes in Persia with the culmination being the Battle of Thermopylae with the Spartans.
