No, it’s a difference in the perspective of modern archeology, which has come a long way since Troy was turned into a trash heap. Portions of sites are now intentionally left alone because we understand that future technology might uncover things current technology can’t. But, if we dig it all up now, that ship sails. Pompeii, which has all the funding in the world, still has large swaths that are untouched for that reason.

Thought this may be a cool trip one day. Then I googled the location and saw it’s 30miles from the Syrian border. Nope.

I’m not sure whether you mean Pompeii (amazing, you should go) or Troy (it’s a shithole tourist trap, don’t go) but neither are anywhere near Syria…

Humans were pretty advanced far longer than archaeologists say they were. It’s weird that they won’t acknowledge that

The DNA of human remains found at these sites is actually Siberian in origin.

I am still of the opinion that humanity was more far along than originally believed until some cataclysmic event brought it all to a halt

The progressive of humanity, our advancements, social structure, and technology are not linear.

There’s plenty of documented evidence throughout history of cataclysmic events such as natural disasters, wars, and diseases that wiped out great civilizations and set back their advancements. Often all the knowledge and history of that society were wiped out as well.

The Middle Ages in Europe is an example that’s more recent. Feudal societies were barely scraping by. Meanwhile, they were doing so alongside (and in the shadows) of great Roman engineering feats like aqueducts, roads, and coliseums. Roman relics and other evidence of a great society were all around them, but they knew nothing other than their little hut and the muddy section of a field they farmed.

The thing on the left is a fake from a collection by an Ecuadoran monk named carlo crespi. The other 'handbags' are explained by the religions of the various creators, which in most of your examples, are just different eras of the same religion. The ones from GT are not handbags. They are just vaguely the same shape. The 'handles' don't even go to the end.

I like Ancient Aliens too, man, but it really is almost totally full of shite.

I didn't fact-check all those pics. Thanks.

Can you elaborate? I stay cynical an these types of things but some of the points Hancock makes are intriguing, while acknowledging the shapes at GT aren't conclusively handbags. But I'm interested to understand the same religion being practiced in mesopotamia, central America, etc.

Yeah, those ignorant Medieval peasants knew nothing about what great societies looked like:

Most of the pictures you've posted are Babylonian. They were just made centuries apart.

The central American example you showed is a known fake from known hoaxer Carlo Crespi. They didn't have that specific bird headed man god there, and the religions in the two regions were very different.
