Went in for a oil Change and tire rotation. They told my wife you only have 2% brakes left to scare her...Then they told her $980.00 out the door......I told her no way.

Called around this morning and have been quoted $300.00-$450.00...

Why can't people that try and take advantage of the consumers be held accountable?

I mean there is the BBB and Yelp or whatever but why not more regulation on these types of businesses to hold them accountable?

When you say "brakes" are we just talking pads? Need new rotors? Rotors and pads? Turn the rotors and new pads?

$300 for a 4 wheel brake job in a shop? That's a steal. What model car is it? Just the parts (rotors and pads) will probably run you close to $200 and nobody works for free unless it's you on your driveway.

How much did you pay for that oil change and rotation, honestly?

How hard is it to change rotors on your own?
I just had to get brakes and rotors done in the front of my sons vehicle and it was $600.
I’m ready to start learning how to do this shite

Y'all are crazy - Paid $70 for mine - On a lot of new cars, you don't even have to take the calibers off (Just slide the pads!

I get your point, but all they did was offer her a price. It's not like they held her car and made her accept it and do the brake job.

Depending on the car you can do it yourself for about half the better prices.

If I could get $450 rotors and pads on my SUV I would jump on it since the rotors alone would be $400 and about $100 for pads.
