Considering they are taking our personal information in the sign up and then selling that-they should be giving us content for free

Netflix is the worst of the streaming platforms. 98% of the stuff on there is crap.

And the good stuff gets cancelled after one or two seasons.

Virtualize them and put a VPN on the download client…

This was always going to happen. The days of people saving $150/month cutting the cord are over. Internet companies jacked up the wifi rates, and the streaming services jacked up their monthly prices. Once demand increased due to cord cutting...the price hikes followed. Basic economics.

This is code for more DEI programming that no one will watch or the writers and SAG strike will cost them dearly.

IPTV. $15 or less per month. Has every channel you can think of including PPV for free.

This is intriguing. Any legal issues to be concerned with?

I laughed at people who thought this wasn't going to happen. It was the only logical end. They're not going to leave money on the table. You paid X amount before, and you will be willing to pay it again.

Not unless you're the one providing the service. You could always just use a VPN if you're paranoid, but it will slow things down.

stealing when nonessentials become too expensive doesn’t seem consistent on this board

Is it also intriguing that you can load up a generator in a shopping cart and walk out of Home Depot without paying?

I am nonplussed how casually people can recommend other people steal hundreds of dollars worth of services a month.

If someone reads this post and immediately begins to think of the ways streaming service theft is "different" it is probably because at heart you are a thief when you think there is nearly a zero percent chance you will get caught.
