Neighborhood drama on facebook is the best

Good lord, the stay at home soccer moms, the few crazy people, and the overly sensitive butthurt about everything are quite entertaining. We've had a guy posting over and over the last couple of days and it's been hilarious. Supposedly this guy kept trying to used facebook messenger to call a married woman who lives in the hood. Her husband (like a little bitch) posted a screen shot of 7 calls from this guy and told him to stop calling his wife or he was going to get a restraining order.
First, if a guy is calling my wife, I'm answering the phone, not posting on facebook like a bitch. They are Cali transplants though, so you can't expect much from low T.
Well the dude who was calling flipped out claiming his account was hacked and it wasn't him calling. I suppose it's possible, but doesn't seem likely given what all was posted. He posted up 5 different times stating he was hacked and just wanted to make things right, he won't let it go. The woman he was calling posted up calling him out on it, which resulted in the dude calling her a millennial funnel count
I seriously was in tears laughing at that. They seem to have dropped it since that, but I don't think they will be sharing beers at the pool this summer.
Oh, almost forgot about the subtle braggers on the page. We have a couple that love to post how much they paid for their home and claim the house is built like shite because their roof leaked after a storm that came through with 60mph wind gusts.
You guys have as much entertainment on your neighborhood pages? I'm expecting someone to post up any day complaining about me. I bought an enclosed trailer yesterday and it's parked out front while I work on it and get it setup for use. I'm sure someone will have something to say about it.

I know it is corny to say, but I deleted my Facebook 2 months ago and it really did feel great.

Austin people suck. Bunch of pussies.

My neighborhood page is almost exclusively videos and posts about a certain group of youths pulling door handles and breaking in cars. There is some discussion over whether they should be shot.

My neighborhood Nextdoor is pretty entertaining sometimes.

Facebook is terrible.
Facebook of your neighbors would absolutely be horrendous

I could enjoy the post more if you posted pics of the wife.

Facebook pages for specific neighborhoods are actually a thing?
Who knew?

Not on Facebook. I do have the Nextdoor App on my phone and every now and then there's some stupid suburban drama on there. Usually involves soccer moms freaking out about coyotes.

I had one here flip out on me. She posted a picture of a coyote in front of our neighborhood eating a calf it had just killed and I told her to shoot it.

No neighborhood page out here in the country.
My 80 yo neighbor who I get most of my info from spends his days riding around on his backhoe or tractor and doesn't have a computer / smart-phone.

I don't disagree. I'm not in Austin though.

When my kid was about 5 or 6 she and her friend were playing with what they thought was a stray cat. She's only had dogs and I guess they put a leash on the cat and it ran off.
Later that night my wife showed me some scathing post from some lady on Nextdoor about someone putting a leash on her cat and how it could have died. We happened to be missing our dog's leash

Yeah, it's horrible. People share all kinds of stuff like when the local play ground has events, new restaurants, crime videos to keep us alerted, police responses, farmers markets, happenings down at the lake, etc.
It's actually not bad if you have a few good people who are in charge of it who delete the stupid stuff and keep the politics and drama out of it.
We mostly have issues with old people who like to bitch about the same things over and over. The younger crowd has made fun of the worst one's so much now that they rarely post.
