Need advice on who to get as a lawyer

So there was an incident that happened in California. I won't go into the details needless to say it involve neglect and large airline companies. Do I need to use a California law firm if I want to take them to court or can I use a local New Orleans one?

Nope, legit asking. Can a law firm in New Orleans take care of a incident in California or would I have to hire a California law firm to solve my case?

You probably have an arbitration clause and venue selection/choice of law clause in any agreement you signed with the airline. Read it first.

I'm a sure a Louisiana lawyer would be happy to take your money, but why would you trust them with California law?

Well without details it’s impossible to even know if a Louisiana court would have jurisdiction, so maybe share some details.
Also, “neglect” is not the same as “negligent”

Doesn't really matter where the attorney is from as long as he's barred in CA (and preferably wherever the company is incorporated).
