Here's my take...first off, I am thinking these days you might be the dumbass if you go to college. Who the Hell thinks dropping thousands and thousands of dollars to support, in many cases,
what amounts to a liberal indoctrination hub for a piece of paper that says you are educated and "worthy" of a certain job when that might be a complete fabrication of the actual situation is a truly good idea?
I have a very high IQ. Went to college, didn't apply myself as nothing really caught my passion to pursue academically. Dropped out with a family crisis to tend to. Didn't have my precious little piece of paper to show I was worthy so to say. Eventually got in a trade and am pretty successful these days. Own my own business and I don't need a degree to underwrite my intellectual bona fides either.
That said, I don't think Covid is a conspiracy but I do think it has been highly politicized to the point where we will never know the truth on the numbers or many other aspects of the illness as the reporting agencies such as the medical and media entities each have one or both of a financial interest or political agenda to crank up the numbers and the drama.
I believe my non-degreed opinion is actually pretty prescient and to be frank, I'm not sure why the opinion of those without a degree is really relevant to preface the headline with unless there is a less than subtle attempt to marginalize the group's opinion by inferring the group is less educated and thus less "worthy" of having their opinion matter...why not just say that out right?

Your opinion is worth so much more than anyone with a “Studies” degree. This is one of the reasons we are leaving BR. We don’t want to live in a college town with such a high proportion of Marxist indoctrinated citizenry.

Those not exposed to the critical thinking required in (many if not most) college settings are more apt to believe conspiracies and BS in general.
Of course the next step among the conspiracy-minded is to deem college and professors in on the conspiracy as well.
It’s very easy to go down that path, removing critical thought from the equation, and with all the nonsense out there on YouTube, Infowars, etc. etc. it makes one think they are more knowledgeable on the subject than others. A win-win which plays into some basic psychological needs we have as humans.
Of course the next step among the conspiracy-minded is to deem college and professors in on the conspiracy as well.

Well put me in the degree group that thinks it's overblown.
Back in April the cdc was as clear as day with them reporting probable cases as actual positives. And don't forget them lumping covid, pneumonia, and influenza deaths all together.

My two cents (beliefs):
1. Covid-19 is very real
2. China deliberately misled the world so the virus could spread
3. The media is using the virus as an opportunity to aid the DNC candidate in their quest to defeat Trump in November

As someone with two degrees, BS and MS, I can tell you that "educated" means less and less as the years go on. What matters is what skills you have to offer your employer...a degree is just a means to an end.
Too many fluff programs in our universities. And look at the most common degrees earned in our colleges. You also have to consider that many colleges are already politically polarized.
I will say this: the Covid pandemic may not necessarily have been a planned tragedy, but it has undeniably been used as a political tool to benefit one political party over the other. Ask yourself, who benefits the most from a weaker American economy? Who benefits the most from having unemployment benefits become a major platform? Who benefits from having the President in the precarious position where there are no clear solutions, just compromises?

I don't believe it's a conspiracy but I do believe it's a tragedy some don't want to waste.
