Nearly half of Americans without a college degree believe covid is a conspiracy

Most Americans (71%) have heard of a conspiracy theory circulating widely online that alleges that powerful people intentionally planned the coronavirus outbreak. And a quarter of U.S. adults see at least some truth in it – including 5% who say it is definitely true and 20% who say it is probably true, according to a June Pew Research Center survey. The share of Americans who see at least some truth to the theory differs by demographics and partisanship.
Educational attainment is an especially important factor when it comes to perceptions of the conspiracy theory. Around half of Americans with a high school diploma or less education (48%) say the theory is probably or definitely true, according to the survey, which was conducted as part of the Center’s American News Pathways project. That compares with 38% of those who have completed some college but have no degree, 24% of those with a bachelor’s degree and 15% of those with a postgraduate degree.

Well, if you're dumb enough to answer a phone or take that survey, you can't expect much.

And over half of all Americans are going to vote for a pedophile.

Is it THAT much of a stretch, seeing as how the CCP is known to have lied, and the WHO told everyone there was no human to human transmission?
Only question is whether the bumbling was deliberate.

Education-shaming
Plenty of "highly-educated" folks making my Venti Cafe Latte in the morning.

I knew you thought it was a hoax.

It’s not a conspiracy. But it is definitely overblown. 99% of people who get it will have symptoms like a common cold or flu, at worst. A large portion of them will have little or no symptoms at all. We have shut down the world for a virus with a minuscule death rate, it’s outrageous.

“Educated” celebrities are anti vaxers and Scientologists
“Educated” college professors believe there are more than two genders
“Educated” politicians think a piece of cloth will protect you from a virus but standing shoulder to shoulder thousands deep in a protest is safe
“Educated” journalists got a degree in a dying profession and work 80 hours a week for $35k

I’m in the post-grad group FWIW but this is spot on.
Not a conspiracy, but the reaction is complete bullshite that we shouldn’t stand for.

Geez. I wonder how long it took to poll half the Americans with no college degree.

I have a degree and I think it’s all bullshite
It’s not a great degree though

No, it's not. I don't know how this thing started, and neither does anyone else posting here. I don't see how anyone can rule out the possibility that this was intentionally started at this point.

I bet those Americans are making more money than the ones with a recent gender studies degree or a liberal arts degree. Plus no student loan debt.
Posted on 7/25/20 at 9:55 pm to Jim Rockford
Well that’s because it is a conspiracy

The virus is real. The reaction to it is bullshite.

I have a degree and I think it’s an overblown farce. The numbers are super inflated and 100% agenda driven.

Nearly half of Americans *surveyed* without a college degree
I can go conduct a survey in a Walgreen's parking lot down the street and ask 4 people. That doesn't mean I get to turn around and speak for all of America based on the results I get.

Shockingly, I’m sure that coincides with the numbers of graduates here.
