Unfortunately because we lump social services dealing with kids who have been given up with welfare, that system isn't a whole hell of a lot better than some of the parents who don't want their kids.

These people are completely useless

If a person wanted to be frugal, which these people don't because they are spending other people's money, you could eat well on a fraction of the EBT money they get to waste.

not cool, there are people who need this, and aren't abusing any kind of system. Also, affects many children
This board bashes the ebt program a lot, but they oughta see my kids faces when I break out the Louisiana purchase and tell them to load up because we're going out for boiled crawfish. They can barely load up in the escalade fast enough!

I wouldn't be shocked to find out the rates of obesity among these ebt card holders is pretty high.

Obvious Deep State tactic is obvious.

Can't pay for food. But can pay for Internet. And the phone or computer too.

I do think this highlights one the major negative social ramifications of a large welfare state. We saw it after Katrina as well. Constant subsidation eventually evolves to the point where people are incapable of even the smallest degree of self-help. In the days leading up to Katrina, there were countless examples of people sitting at their homes, wringing their hands, wondering when someone else was going to help them.

Oh noz. They'll have to dip in to their 40s and blunt wrap fund.
The horror!

POOR PEOPLE ARENT HEALTHY!!!
It is the concept that "poor" exists alongside "obese" in our society.
At no point in the history of man has that been an issue.
That is insane.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
On one hand, no one goes hungry.
On the other hand, we have a massively unhealthy class of humans who are becoming an increasing economic and healthcare burden.
