If you can't afford to feed yourself and your kids without EBT for a few hours during an EBT outage you shouldn't have had kids in the first place.

Also, affects many children

I feel bad for the kids but there are plenty of other options to feed them. She might have to leave the house and stand in line but it beats letting your kids starve. And if her children haven't eaten in three days and she still has a computer the fault is her own. SNAP has evolved into providing it but it wasn't intended to be your sole source of food.

Is Chicken going to give us an extension since EBT is down for the premium subscription on TD?

Another good lesson on why you should never rely on the government for anything.

Maybe it's time for single mom to prioritize.

I think that's his point. You don't get to pick who your parents are.

I know single moms that work 35+ hours a week and need SNAP benefits to get by.

Real talk for a minute. Kids won't go hungry, their regular meals aren't going to be affected by this, the only meals they are getting is breakfast and lunch that is provided by public schools.

My issue isn't with people that legitimately need assistance. It's the fact that she thinks it's someone else's fault that she's starving immediately after her SNAP doesn't come in.

You're amazing.

One of her kids is special needs, so it is tough but she picks up every extra shift she can. I am all for providing some help for people like that.
