Attacks on shipping picked up again last week, pushing Brent briefly above $90 mid-week, while the EIA projected Brent will average $87 per barrel for the full year and said it doesn’t expect Middle East production to recover to near pre-conflict levels until early 2027. In Sunday overnight trade, WTI was down 32 cents to $82.08 per barrel, modestly above last Monday’s $79.62, while Brent slipped a penny to $88.51 compared to $85.00 a week ago—with both benchmarks unlikely to move decisively in either direction until talks produce something concrete.

Yet, interstates are packed with more cars than ever.

Yes, but over 75% of them are EVs. Thank you Elon Musk and Joe Biden.

$3.21 at my local Sam's Club, but I paid $3.69 at Billy's in Opelousas yesterday. I'm pretty sure they can charge whatever price they want to, and people will pay it to get boudin at the same stop.

AAA is showing the St. Landry Parish average at $3.532/gallon today, so when you factor in the Boudin Premium, seems a fair price.

which is the lowest it has been since 1983
there was a time when this was a huge talking point, I wonder what changed?

I paid $3.16 yesterday here in Knoxville. Gas Buddy shows a range of $3.16 to $3.79 within 5 miles of me.

Gas and diesel are very inelastic.

BP station at the corner of 120 and Peachtree Industrial in Duluth, GA was $3.089 this past Saturday. Everyone else I've seen across Metro Atlanta and north Georgia has been between $3.699 and $3.899. (I have no idea why that one station was an outlier)

Seems diesel is about to go off the charts.
Less to do with Hormuz and more Russia. Europe is going to be in trouble this winter.

Why are you obsessed with fuel prices?
