They have quite a few, but not many black drivers..... I don’t follow the sport that much but I do know that. BTW you make it sound like he did this himself just for attention..... Is that your stance??????

Most people here were pissed that Bubba kept doubling down instead of admitting he was wrong.
But you already knew that.
But you already knew that.

Bubba didn't do anything wrong in my mind until he continued the media circus after it has been determined not to be an act directed at him and continued to stoke the controversy. However, NASCAR is the worst actor here followed closely by a media that no longer critically reviews stories like these and runs with assumptions as fact.

Did I ever say the Nazi flag doesn't represent horrific ideals? Not sure what you are trying to get at with that. Your example is not even remotely close to this situation. If they were handing out nooses, then yes it would apply.

I don't understand how you and others can't distinguish between this specific instance the guys being full of shite and the symbolism when/if these things happen for real
There seems to be a lot that you don't understand in life.
This was a situation that if it happened a year ago that would have never been mentioned.
Because it isn't people handing out flags, nooses or whatever else you want to use to try to make this a bigger issue.
Now, if this was outside his home, I would definitely see a problem.

If its been there that long this is a non story. Its very dangerous and irresponsible to even report this

I thought the "noose" was cut? How do they now have a pic of an in tact rope?
Because this whole thing is fake and made up

so this place is packed with multi million dollar race cars and there's no security footage ?
The real question in this isn't whether or not the knot is a noose, but rather who tied it and what is their relationship with those jumping up and down about it being there.

but that's not going to stop people from acting like Bubba went to the track Sunday morning with the plan to stage a hate crime for his benefit.
Let's just assume he didn't know in advance what was happening.
He doesn't deserve any responsibility for hearing there might have been a noose somewhere and going on television crying and berating people without knowing any of the facts or anything about the situation at all?

I guess that’s ok?
Yes, dummy. There are different standards for different groups, some animals are more equal than others:
> weird white kid shoots up a school = ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE LIKE THAT
> man rapes a woman = ALL MEN ARE LIKE THAT
> Muslim flies plane into building = you can't judge an entire group based on one bad apple!
> Cop shoots black buy = ALL COPS ARE RACIST
> Black guy robs a store = you can't judge an entire group based on one bad apple!
> Christian refuses to bake gay cake = ALL CHRISTIANS ARE HOMOPHOBES
> Illegal Mexican immigrant kills a white girl = you can't judge an entire group based on one bad apple!
Please try to keep up.

Correct. As usual, you are not very well educated on anything.

Wendell Scott went on to compete in 495 Cup races spanning 13 years. He retired in 1973 after a bad wreck at Talladega, then known as the Alabama International Speedway. The wreck on lap 9 of the Winston 500, is still considered one of the worst in NASCAR history. Scott fractured his pelvis, knees, legs, and ribs in the crash. His car, a 1971 Mercury Montego, is on display at the Winston Cup Museum & Special Event Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Wendell Scott is the only African-American driver who has been inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame (2015). Richard Pryor starred in a 1977 movie called Greased Lightning that loosely chronicled Scott’s life and racing career.
Shocking, PJ is a fricking moron

quote:Yes? Racing doesn't happen in the winter and they were supposed to race there in April but everything was shutdown for the virus. There may be some concerts or something but as far as I'm aware ARCA and NASCAR are the only two sanctioning bodies to run at Talladega
Those were the only races there since October?

No because he never actually saw the rope and isn’t allowed in the garage.
Do I believe he knew about the scheme before, during and after? Yes, yes I do.

Yes. Talladega only hosts races twice a year. There are other events at the track the rest of the year, but not sure if they use those garage areas. The racing experience attrations use garages, but likely not that one because it's so far from the actual track.

And a black person being a slave wouldn't have been an issue the year before slavery was admonished. Timing is irrelevant in this situation. Had it been true hanging a noose in a black guys garage is cleary a statement.

I dont want to make it a bigger issue. You just said something retarded. You said inanimate objects don't matter, thats an absolutely idiotic take

So when does he apologize for generalizing a segment of the population he has never met “simple minded”? I guess that’s ok?
It is still very simple-minded and incorrect to jump to the conclusion that he faked a hate crime for publicity
The question that was posed to him was what would you say to the people who are doubting whether it’s true. He said they were simple minded.
So those who think that humanity is better than hanging a malicious symbol in his garage and that said hold on there’s a plausible explanation for this are simple minded.
It turned out to not be true and those who had faith in humanity were proven to be correct.
Do they not deserve an apology?
