NASA Plans Manned Mars Landing By 2033

"We need to learn how to live and work in another world. The moon is the best place to prove those capabilities and technologies. The sooner we can achieve that objective, the sooner we can move on to Mars."

I really don’t care when they plan for it when it’s over a decade away. I’ve been hearing this ever since I was a kid that it was a little over a decade away. I remember 1996 passing and being severely disappointed that we hadn’t landed on Mars, because that was the year all these books from the late 70s to mid 80s said it was going to be.
No, it needs to be within the decade and with a strict schedule to be adhered to. They’re just talking shite in the meantime. Each President will just push it back just as they all have since Nixon.
