Yep, in 2029, the new NASA administrator will return them to their main missions in years past, climate change research and Muslim outreach, like they were during the Obama years. Forward comrades!

I think what we lost was not the ability to return to the moon but the willingness to take some of the risks we did back then. We're also not in a do-or-die race to get there.

Not really bud. Common sense is the web that holds it together.

So, if we went to the moon some 57 years ago shouldn't it just be a cakewalk to return. what am I missing?

Yes it is, but this time instead of a moon rover we're gonna cruise the moon surface in a Tesla Roadster. The SpaceX-derived cold-gas thrusters and fan-based suction systems take some time to be adapted to an almost zero gravity exosphere.

You would think!. But we lost the ability to reproduce the technology apparently! So now we are having to do the same test runs we already did 60 years ago.

What's really amazing is the phone we have today is more powerful than the computers they used to send man to the moon.

Worth mentioning the whole system is being delayed at this point at this point because Elon Musk’s SpaceX is failing to meet deliverables with Starship.

Fundamentally new equipment.

And no, we aren’t running the same test runs you ignoramus. In two missions we did the same testing as 9 missions in the Apollo run.

I mean it shouldn’t be that hard with super computers and AI considering it was done almost 60 years ago, amiright?

It’s painfully obvious that we were lied to.

If we were capable of making it there (and back) 60 years ago, then there would be a Dollar General already on the moon by now.

When the democomunists go after Elon and steal his company and nationalize it, they wont be able to launch a rocket anyway to support SLS and the entire mission will collapse.

better than the heads up warning his Chinese counterpart got...

Ultimately we just need to get to the right part first to mark our territory. Democrats will fumble that opportunity so they keep getting their chynese support.
