Versailles KY is pronounced ver-sales
Louisville CO is lewis-ville (Trebek got this wrong on Jeopardy once)
Tualatin OR is twall-uh-tin
Schuykill river and county in PA is skoo-kull
Houston street in NYC is how-ston

Lived in Louisiana for 2 years before I knew where "Tibido" was.
For you non natives in other states it's spelled Thibodaux and is right outside of Houma.
I spent a year in Laffy before I didn't have to get people to write down the name of the street I was looking for.

Louisville MS is the same way. Used to have an audit client there, and one of the younger guys said it like the one in Kentucky and the locals corrected him swiftly.
