The Apprentice
a man became President playing a similar character
and will again most likely
unless the DeepState cancels a good show like they did with Freaks and Geeks or Arrested Development
Can't say anymore that bird is back

Joe Biden‘s 2020 Presidential campaign.
It was a huge Hollywood production, much like Kamala da Ho's 2024 presidential campaign.
Of course, like most reality shows, it was completely rigged and won thanks to MASSIVE frickING VOTER FRAUD.

I would say Amazing Race. Still going, and it’s not trash TV. Competition of traveling the world.

I liked barter kings. Those dudes would start with a used pair of flip flops and keep trading until they had an RV. The “reality” part may be questionable but it’s entertaining

Survivor is on like Season 47 or something.
And you don't even have to win to make some money from it.
I worked for a short time with a guy who was on one season. He finished 6th or 7th but the Australian pop singer Sia gave him $14,000 because she liked the way he played.
She apparently gifted other contestants from various seasons as well.

How are you determining if a reality show is successful or a failure? If you are considering The Bachelor/Bachelorette a failure, then I'm not really sure what your criteria is.
i think what he is meaning to ask is what reality shows with an "end result" has been successful in maintaining that result.
for example, the one about addicts, forget what it was called, how many remained clean after the show aired? that kind of thing.
and thus to answer that question id say "next food network star" is probably way up there. most of their winners actually stay onto the food network roster. shite look at Guy Fieri, guy almost fricking owns the network at this point.

Early Duck Dynasty. Got exceedingly stupid and fake after they ran out of real stuff they did.
Shark Tank.
Dirty Jobs.
Clarkson's Farm.
Ice Road Truckers.
This Old House.
Colonial House (PBS)
Frontier House (PBS)
The 1900 House (PBS)
Survivor Man
Life Below Zero (early seasons)
Hotel Impossible
