This is once again about personal responsibility. The government cannot legislate safety. It’s like common sense gun laws. If someone wants a gun, laws won’t deter them. If someone wants to speed and be reckless, a lower speed limit won’t stop them. These laws only punish those of us not driving douche trucks...I mean not driving like douches.

95% Has not been my experience but it is still most that stick to the right lane. But I’ve seen guys going 60 switch to the left to pass a truck going 55. That is frustrating if you’re trying to speed .

Trucks with tags ending in Odd Numbers must drive Hwy 190 Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Even Number tags must drive Hwy190 Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. All trucks allowed on basin bridge Sunday’s...

It would be nice if we could put them in an isolated dimension. But if we could do that we probably wouldn't need them in the first plaCE.

I'm not sure what the answer is, but that isnt it.
The problem is the trucking companies dont hold their drivers accountable for speeding, and the commuters dont fricking pay attention and they drive like jackasses.
It isnt all on the truckers, even though a bunch of them are fat huge jackasses. Every other commuter you see is texting, going slow in the left lane, incapable of using cruise control, and also a fat huge jackass

Continue to develop autonomous 18 wheelers and this problem will solve itself. It really is the easiest, quickest answer. The technology being developed for them is not as far away as you would think.

Well yeah. You never learned to watch the big rigs for speed traps? They all talk to each other and notify of a trooper. When traveling on interstate, you can typically always go a bit faster than the trucks and be okay.

If I had my way I would make truck loads use rail. We should've built train rails going both directions years ago. Force things going over so many miles to use rail unless there is a need for short run or and expedited run for a higher fee. The roads would be much more open and not have to wait for a truck doing 73 to pass up another truck going 72, and take 5 mins to do so. No extra weight loads destroying our roads as well.

I’m not sure about this but I doubt there are many fatal accidents on that bridge that don’t involve big rigs. If I am correct in that assumption I don’t think it matters if you’re going 50 or 70. You go underneath an 18-wheeler and you’re in big trouble.

Nice try. Most vehicles are more fuel efficient at 50 mph compared to 70 mph. (but I'm not going to go 50 mph).
