We saw an animal in our backyard in Kenilworth this weekend. I think it was a coyote, but my wife thinks it was a fox. I couldn't get a picture, but I did watch it climb a chain-link fence like a cat. What do you think it was?

No, seriously, please help. I'm nervous because we have a toy poodle named Coco, and I don’t want anything to happen to her.

Then leash her... or else that foxoyte is going to snack on her.

I mean there is a pretty big size difference between those two animals.

Anything that lives is an apex predator to this. Get a real dog to protect this one

Both species are mostly nocturnal. Don't let your lapdog out at night.

Coyote.

There is a creek that runs through Baton Rouge not far from that neighborhood that is like an Interstate for them. They travel up and down it all the time.

Coyotes have killed pets and are living in the wetlands downstream of the LSU Lakes.

Could have been either. I've seen them both when I used to run/fish at Pennington

Coyote killed 3 neighborhood cats in a week several years ago in Southdowns on a single block. It left one in the streets in front of the owner's house. They usually roam at night.
